The city has criminally charged 35 people who previously left their self-quarantine locations without permission, resulting in fines ranging from 1 million to 5 million KRW for 13 individuals, while investigations and trials are ongoing for others.
Violating or refusing self-quarantine measures can result in imprisonment of up to one year or fines up to 10 million KRW under the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act, and may also lead to disadvantages such as claims for compensation and non-payment of living support funds.
