[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the morning of the 10th at 10:30 AM, Jinju City in Gyeongnam held a business agreement ceremony at the Entrepreneurs' Room of Jinju City Hall to promote the Bibongsan Healing Forest Creation Project in cooperation with the Jinju City Forestry Cooperative.
Recently, as the demand from citizens visiting forests has increased, the city has been promoting the Bibongsan Restoration Project since 2016. The project invests 500 million KRW in an area of 4.6 hectares around 395 Sangbong-dong to cultivate the area into a premium forest.
Through this agreement, the city will provide budget and administrative support, while the city forestry cooperative will utilize its professional expertise to develop Bibongsan into a space for citizens' rest and healing.
At the agreement ceremony, Mayor Cho Gyu-il said, "I hope that through the healing forest creation project, Bibongsan will be reborn as a healthy forest park and that the history of Bibongsan will also be restored." He added, "Please develop it into a forest of life and a green resting space that everyone enjoys visiting."

In response, Park Soon-cheol, head of the city forestry cooperative, said, "Thanks to Mayor Cho's interest and consideration, Bibongsan is becoming a resting place for citizens." He added, "We will thoroughly manage the site to ensure there are no inconveniences during the project implementation. We ask for the understanding and cooperation of the citizens."
