Mokpo City Conducts Voluntary COVID-19 Vaccination for Youth and Middle-Aged Groups
From the 17th, public transportation workers, academy workers, and others
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do, will begin voluntary COVID-19 vaccinations for eligible groups starting on the 17th.
On the 10th, the city stated that this vaccination follows the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's policy to conduct voluntary vaccinations for those deemed priority for vaccination among the 18-49 age group, including essential workers and close contacts of children and adolescents, considering the characteristics of each local government and the current quarantine situation.
Accordingly, Jeollanam-do has selected voluntary vaccination targets including ▲public transportation workers ▲environmental sanitation (disinfection) workers ▲academy staff ▲entertainment, karaoke, and public hygiene business workers ▲foreign workers ▲financial and post office workers, who work in high-risk facilities or belong to vaccination-disadvantaged groups and essential social personnel.
The vaccinations will be administered from August 17 to September 11 at the Mokpo COVID-19 Vaccination Center set up in the Mokpo Indoor Gymnasium, using Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
