BOK to Hold National Finals of the '2021 Monetary Policy Competition' on the 13th
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunbyeol Kim] The Bank of Korea announced on the 10th that it will hold the national finals of the '2021 Monetary Policy Contest' on the 13th.
This contest will be conducted via non-face-to-face video conferencing to prevent COVID-19 infection, and six teams that won the grand prize in each regional preliminary contest will participate in the national finals.
The participating teams are Seoul A Group Ddakjaengi Team (Yonsei University), Seoul B Group Jigeumridaero Team (Ewha Womans University), Daejeon·Chungcheong·Sejong Canwin Team (Hanbat National University), Gwangju·Jeolla·Jeju Inflare Team (Jeonbuk National University), Daegu·Busan·Ulsan·Gyeongsang Jigeumeun Tonghwa Jung Team (Handong Global University), and Gyeonggi·Incheon·Gangwon Gagye Credit Stop! Team (Inha University).

Each team will present on 'Issues to consider when deciding monetary policy' and 'Base interest rate decision' and answer questions regarding their presentations. The teams advancing to the finals will be awarded commendations and prize money under the name of the Governor. One gold prize team, one silver prize team, two bronze prize teams, and two encouragement prize teams will receive awards.
