Nongshim Distributes Fire Alarms to Underprivileged Groups in Partnership with the Fire Agency
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seung-jin] Nongshim is jointly promoting the "Safe Campaign That Moves the World" with the National Fire Agency to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the launch of Shin Ramyun. To this end, on the 10th, Park Jun, CEO of Nongshim, and Shin Yeol-woo, Commissioner of the National Fire Agency, signed a business agreement at Nongshim headquarters in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, focusing on strengthening public safety and jointly promoting fire policy.
According to the agreement, Nongshim will support the National Fire Agency's "Fire Alarm 2580 Project" by providing 10,000 fire alarms to underprivileged households nationwide. Early sounding of fire alarms in case of fire can reduce human casualties and also decrease the risk to firefighters during rescue operations, thereby reducing fire damage. The National Fire Agency plans to raise the installation rate of residential fire alarms to over 80% by 2025.
Additionally, Nongshim plans to promote a campaign that highlights the stories of firefighters, the unsung heroes of our society. The new Shin Ramyun campaign to be launched by Nongshim will focus on raising awareness of the activities of firefighters who are responsible for the safety and lives of the public.
