Damyang-gun Works Hard to Improve Neighbors' Living Conditions Amid Heatwave
Volunteer Activities Conducted Including Safety Footboards and LED Light Replacement for 20 Households
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 9th, Jeonnam Damyang-gun announced that from the 2nd to the 6th, they visited 20 households in need to carry out volunteer activities such as making and installing safety footboards and replacing LED lights.
This volunteer work was mainly carried out by the Daejeon-myeon Welfare Task Force (Captain Lee Jeonghyun), and the recipients were selected through a regular meeting last month.
The volunteers visited 20 disadvantaged households in groups for 2 to 3 hours each day, installing safety footboards at the entrance doors and replacing old lights, working up a sweat.
A resident who received the safety footboard support expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you to Daejeon-myeon Chief Je Seonghyeon, Welfare Task Force Captain Lee Jeonghyun, and Carpenter Workshop Owner Kim Jonggyun for coming in person and installing it in this hot weather."

Daejeon-myeon Chief Je Seonghyeon, who participated in the volunteer activities with the members despite the heatwave, said, "Although this scorching heat was unlike previous years, it was even more meaningful to work together with the Welfare Task Force members who willingly took time to extend a warm hand to neighbors in need. We will continue to do our best to create a Daejeon-myeon without welfare blind spots."
