Smilegate's 'Lost Ark' Launches in Taiwan
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Smilegate RPG is targeting the Taiwanese market with its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'Lost Ark.'
Smilegate announced on the 9th that it has signed a publishing (distribution) contract with the Taiwanese game company 'HappyTuk.'
The two companies will closely cooperate to ensure the successful launch and establishment of Lost Ark in the Taiwanese market. Specific schedules will be announced later.
HappyTuk services the largest number of games in Taiwan, including 14 online games and numerous mobile games. In particular, it owns 'MangoT5,' the largest game-specialized portal in Taiwan.
Yang Minyoung, CEO of HappyTuk, stated, "We firmly believe that by utilizing HappyTuk's unique publishing know-how and platform accumulated over several years, Lost Ark will establish itself as the top MMORPG in Taiwan."
