Market Kurly "23 Essential Cart Items 23% Cheaper Compared to Major Online and Offline Stores"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Market Kurly announced on the 9th that it is approximately 23% cheaper compared to the average prices of 23 essential shopping basket items at three major offline marts and three online dawn delivery services.
The products compared by Market Kurly include 10 types of vegetables (red leaf lettuce, radish, cucumber, Cheongyang chili pepper, soil green onion, Saesongi mushroom, onion, potato, zucchini, peeled garlic), 8 types of meat (Korean pork neck, Korean pork front leg, Korean pork belly (refrigerated), thinly sliced pork belly (frozen), 1+ grade special eggs (10-pack, 20-pack), 1st grade Korean beef for bulgogi, 1st grade fresh chicken), and 5 types of seafood (domestic mackerel, Norwegian mackerel, domestic cleaned squid, live squid, Jeju cutlassfish), totaling 23 items. Market Kurly stated, "As of the 6th, the prices were compared and found to be 23.44% cheaper than the average prices of the three major offline marts and 23.24% cheaper than the average prices of the three online dawn delivery services."
Seafood product prices were about 47% lower. Domestic cleaned squid (29.37%), Jeju cutlassfish (27.42%), and live squid (19.18%) were the most affordable in that order. Among the 24 food items, the cheapest product was the Saesongi mushroom. For 400g, the average price at major online and offline marts was 2,036 KRW, but Market Kurly sold it for 1,000 KRW.
For meat products, the thinly sliced pork belly (1kg) sold at Market Kurly for 11,900 KRW showed a price difference of up to 14,000 KRW. It was 22.03% cheaper compared to the average prices of major online and offline marts. Pork neck was 29% cheaper, and 1st grade fresh chicken was 22% cheaper. Eggs (1+ grade special eggs, 20-pack) were slightly cheaper at Market Kurly. Market Kurly emphasized, "Despite handling higher quality antibiotic-free products than those distributed in the market, we are selling them 9.59% cheaper than major online and offline marts."
