Malpyo Beer Infused with the Freshness of Green Grapes... Squeeze Brewery Unveils New Product 'Malpyo Cheongpodo Ale'
Squeeze Brewery introduces a new product, ‘Malpyo Green Grape Ale,’ which adds the refreshing flavor of green grapes to Malpyo beer.
The new fruit beer, ‘Malpyo Green Grape Ale,’ is an ale beer that delivers a crisp green grape flavor with a low alcohol content of 4.0%, allowing people of all ages to enjoy drinking at home without any burden.
Additionally, this product features a subtle green grape aroma and rich foam that pleasantly fills the mouth, making it an excellent pairing with a variety of foods.
Unlike fruit wines, which are relatively easy to produce, beer uses ingredients such as malt wort and hops, so when fruit juice and fruit flavors are added, their distinct characteristics can be strongly highlighted, potentially making the beer taste awkward.
Therefore, Squeeze Brewery postponed the release date several times and conducted months of research to develop a recipe that achieves the best balance, allowing the beer to harmonize perfectly with the fruit.
Regarding this new product launch, Professor Jeong Cheol, Ph.D. in Brewing Science from the Department of Convergence Industry at Seoul Venture Graduate School University, evaluated it as “a fresh challenge in craft beer that has not been attempted in Korea until now.”
Kim Daeheon, CEO of Squeeze Brewery, stated, “We have received many requests from consumers and funding shareholders to release an ale beer,” adding, “After extensive research, we decided to launch a challenging ale beer that properly realizes the balance of fruit as a pure beer.”
He continued, “We will continue to maintain Squeeze Brewery’s unique philosophy while introducing various beers that reflect consumer needs.”
Meanwhile, Squeeze Brewery, known for its Malpyo dark beer, is a newly established brewery founded in 2017. Despite being a latecomer, it has presented an excellent lineup of beers in taste and quality, winning the Grand Prize at the ‘Korea Liquor Awards’ for three consecutive years from 2019 to 2021.
