Restriction on Uncontrolled Development and Real Estate Speculation for 3 Years from the Official Announcement Date
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Goyang City in Gyeonggi Province has designated the planned site for the new city hall construction project as a development activity permit restriction area.
According to the city on the 6th, the restriction area designation applies to the planned site for the new city hall construction project (93,148.9㎡) around 206-1 Jugyo-dong, Goyang-si (Jugyo 1st Public Parking Lot), aiming to prevent indiscriminate development and real estate speculation, and to promote systematic development.
In this area, development activities such as building construction, installation of structures, landform changes, and land subdivision will be restricted for three years from the date of the announcement.
To this end, the city previously gathered residents' opinions last month and went through the city urban planning committee's review.

A city official stated, "We will minimize property rights damage to local residents caused by the development activity permit restrictions and swiftly proceed with administrative procedures for the new city hall construction project by concentrating administrative functions related to the new city hall."
