Lotte Confectionery Launches Plant-Based Bread 'V Bread' Focused on Health and Environment

Lotte Confectionery’s ‘V-Bread’ is a brand developed for consumers seeking plant-based ingredients as meal replacement bread, reflecting the recent spread of food culture focused on health and the environment, especially among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z). Instead of animal ingredients such as milk, butter, and eggs, ‘V-Bread’ uses plant-based ingredients, resulting in a mild taste. It also contains dietary fiber and protein, which is expected to be popular among health-conscious consumers.
The ‘V-Bread’ brand by Lotte Confectionery will be operated under two concepts: ‘Healthy Table’ and ‘Healthy Appetite,’ with plans to release a total of four new products according to these concepts. The ‘Healthy Table’ line consists of two meal replacement products: ‘Focaccia Bread’ and ‘Mini Oat Bread.’ The ‘Healthy Appetite’ line emphasizes taste and includes two snack products: ‘Peanut Muffin’ and ‘Rice Brownie.’
Among these, the two new products, ‘Focaccia Bread’ and ‘Peanut Muffin,’ will be first introduced through online channels such as Lotte Confectionery’s official online mall ‘Lotte Sweet Mall.’ Lotte Confectionery plans to expand sales channels to offline stores in the future.
