SKT Recruiting Avatar Influencers to Participate in Metaverse 'ifland' Activities
[Asia Economy Reporter Joesulgina] SK Telecom announced on the 5th that it is recruiting a new concept influencer group called ‘Ifriends’ who will be active as avatars on the metaverse platform Ifland.
As influencers, they will create various content to enjoy in the metaverse world, communicate in real-time with other users, and lead the popularization of the metaverse. The recruitment fields range from daily talk to professional debates, comedy, and lectures. Once selected, they will engage in activities within Ifland for three months starting this month, including ▲hosting meetings ▲visiting other meetings ▲building communities ▲promoting Ifland.
SK Telecom will provide Ifriends with an ‘Ifland Traveler Welcome Kit’ and a fixed activity allowance, and will also offer additional incentives based on the performance of their meeting activities. The plan is not only for Ifriends to pioneer new careers in the metaverse world but also to establish ways to generate income within the metaverse.
Anyone aged 14 or older who wants to become an influencer in the metaverse world can apply to be an Ifriend. Applications are accepted until the 23rd on the official Ifland website and the application website. The results of the selection will be individually notified and announced within this month. SK Telecom plans to expand its service by launching the Ifland iOS version in August in addition to the existing Android version. Ifriends can apply regardless of whether they use Android or iOS devices.
