[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 4th that it donated 200 boxes of COVID-19 prevention kits at the Nonghyup Central Association Naju Branch (Branch Manager Park Naechun) on the 3rd.
The donation ceremony was attended by Mayor Kang In-gyu, Branch Manager Park Naechun, Nonghyup cooperative heads Lee Gye-ik (Dasi), Jang Kyung-il (Sanpo), and Jeong Seok-gyu, Director of the Safety City Construction Bureau.
The kit boxes consisted of hygiene products necessary for COVID-19 prevention, such as masks, hand sanitizers, cleansers, and antibacterial soap.
Branch Manager Park Naechun said, "I hope these will be used meaningfully for neighbors who have difficulty securing prevention supplies due to the 4th wave and the spread of infections outside the metropolitan area," and added, "The Naju Branch will continue to contribute to overcoming COVID-19 and coexisting with the local community."
The Nonghyup Naju Branch has been continuously engaged in various sharing and volunteer activities every month, including supporting the harvest work of Seji melon farms damaged by last month's heavy rain flooding, volunteering to improve housing environments for vulnerable groups in celebration of Nonghyup's 60th anniversary, helping with rice seedling nurseries in June, and donating agricultural product kits during Family Month.
Mayor Kang In-gyu said, "I thank Branch Manager Park Naechun, who has become a partner in coexistence and cooperation within the local community through various social contribution projects, as well as the executives and employees of the Naju Branch and related local Nonghyup officials," and added, "We will use these prevention supplies carefully for residents who have difficulty securing them."
