Public Shopping, Conducts In-House Training on the 'Conflict of Interest Prevention Act'
Strict Compliance with Employee Code of Conduct
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Public Shopping, a public institution home shopping under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, announced on the 4th that it conducted internal training on the 'Public Officials Conflict of Interest Prevention Act' to be enforced from May next year.
This training was promoted as part of the activities of the Integrity Society Practice Council in the SME sector, which has been organized and operated since September 2018 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups along with affiliated organizations under its jurisdiction.
The key contents of the Public Officials Conflict of Interest Prevention Act include ▲ prohibition of acquiring financial benefits using undisclosed information obtained through official duties ▲ reporting of real estate ownership and purchase ▲ restrictions on recruitment ▲ restrictions on private contracts ▲ management of high-ranking officials.
Public Shopping established a Code of Conduct for executives and employees in September 2015, setting behavioral standards that employees must comply with and practicing them. In addition, it has prepared ten ethical practice guidelines to make integrity and ethics a daily habit.
