Jeju Coast Guard Rescues Four Teenagers Drifting Away While Hanging on a Tube
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Four teenagers who were drifting out to sea hanging onto rubber tubes were rescued by the Jeju Coast Guard.
According to the Jeju Maritime Police Station on the 3rd, at around 11:38 a.m. that day, a report was received that two rubber tubes carrying people were drifting out to sea at Sehwa Beach in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City.
The Coast Guard immediately dispatched the maritime patrol team waiting at the Sehwa Branch of the Jeju Police Station, and about 200 meters offshore from the beach, they found four people including A (teenager) clinging to the two floating rubber tubes and safely rescued them.
The health condition of the four rescued individuals, including A, was reported to be normal, and the Coast Guard stated that they took educational measures to ensure safe water play for them.
