CJ Freshway signed a business agreement with the Busanjin-gu Center in Busan last month on the 20th. The signing ceremony, held at the Industry-Academic Cooperation Hall of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, was attended by CJ Freshway’s Bae Chan, Head of the Kids Business Division, Han Jin-sook, Director of the Center, and other officials.
The Busanjin-gu Center, established in 2012 as the first of its kind in the Busan area, has continuously worked to foster a healthy food culture for local children. Currently, under the entrusted operation of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, it supports 211 child meal facilities by providing ▲ meal and nutrition management support ▲ development and provision of customized menus for each target group ▲ consulting on meal hygiene and safety management, aiming to offer children healthy and safe meals.
Through this collaboration, both parties will mutually cooperate in food education aimed at fostering proper eating habits among children registered at the center’s child meal facilities, including daycare centers, kindergartens, and child welfare facilities.
CJ Freshway will first conduct non-face-to-face cooking classes for 13 facilities with fewer than 20 children and 16 facilities with fewer than 99 children among the child meal facilities affiliated with the center. For local child centers struggling with meal operations, chefs will demonstrate cooking directly, and through the 'Meal Solution' service, which provides meal-related products and services, they will work to improve the meal environment.
CJ Freshway has been continuing its efforts to improve the eating habits of children in the Busan area, including signing a business agreement last year with the Busan Buk-gu Childcare Meal Management Support Center.
Han Jin-sook, Director of the Center, said, “Through this business agreement, we plan to strengthen the development of various educational programs tailored to the characteristics of child meal facilities and improve the meal environment in child welfare facilities.”
