Seoul City Publishes 'Open Library Policy' Series to Enhance Citizen Services and Support Local Libraries
Understanding Seoul's Libraries at a Glance: 'Library IN Seoul' Infographic Created
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 3rd that, starting this year, it will publish a series called 'Open Library Policy' to enable a wider range of citizens to enjoy library services, which will be available through the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Library websites.
This year's 'Open Library Policy' series consists of four volumes: the public library service environment in Seoul, the current status of small library policies, the status of emotional labor protection systems in public libraries, and a guide to non-face-to-face programs in public libraries.
Additionally, to help citizens gain a comprehensive understanding of library services, Seoul provides an infographic titled 'Library IN Seoul,' which offers an at-a-glance overview of Seoul's libraries.
The Open Library Policy series was directly authored by Seoul Library librarians who interviewed relevant personnel and researched related materials to strengthen the research and survey functions of representative libraries and provide practical assistance on the ground.
