8 Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Yeosu...Total Now 372
Social Distancing Level 3 to Be Enforced Until the 8th of Next Month
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Kyung-taek] In Yeosu, Jeonnam, where COVID-19 cluster infections have continued since July, 8 additional confirmed cases were reported.
According to Yeosu City on the 28th, as of 0:00 on the 27th, 8 more cases were confirmed, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Yeosu to 372.
All of them are believed to have been infected through contact with previously confirmed patients and are currently isolated at the Jeonnam Life Treatment Center and Suncheon Medical Center.
Health authorities are investigating the movement and infection routes of the confirmed cases.
Meanwhile, Yeosu City has seen a rapid increase in confirmed cases due to the spread of variant viruses, with 138 cases reported through the 26th of this month. Accordingly, the city entered an emergency citywide movement halt week starting at 0:00 on the 26th for one week and will implement social distancing level 3 until the 8th of next month.
