Jinju YMCA Conducts 'Two Wheels Drawing Korean Peninsula Peace Campaign'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 27th that Jinju YMCA held a launch ceremony for the 'Two Wheels for Korean Peninsula Peace Campaign' at the city hall plaza.
This campaign commemorates the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War and is hosted by the Korea YMCA National Federation, with Jinju YMCA, University YMCA Hanbaek, Jinju Chokseok Club, International Y's Men Jinju Province Club, and Gyeongnam Green Purchasing Support Center organizing it.
The launch ceremony marks the beginning of a grand journey starting simultaneously from 13 cities nationwide, cycling to Imjingak.
Participants will promote the Korean Peninsula peace campaign and raise awareness of the global environmental crisis through bicycles, an eco-friendly mode of transportation, while also advancing carbon neutrality initiatives.
