Nam Taeyun-Kwon Eunji Advance to Mixed 10m Air Rifle Bronze Medal Match
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Shooting national representatives Nam Taeyun (23, Boeun County Office) and Kwon Eunji (19, Uljin County Office) advanced to the bronze medal match in the 10m air rifle mixed team event.
Nam Taeyun and Kwon Eunji took 3rd place in the second round of the finals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics 10m air rifle mixed team event held on the 27th at the Asaka Shooting Range in Tokyo, Japan. In this match, Nam scored 208.5 points and Kwon scored 209.0 points, totaling 417.5 points.
The mixed finals second round determines the ranking by having men and women each shoot 20 shots within 20 minutes. If a team ranks within the top 4 out of 8 teams, they are in medal contention. The 1st and 2nd place teams advance to the gold medal match, while the 3rd and 4th place teams advance to the bronze medal match.
Nam Taeyun and Kwon Eunji will compete for the bronze medal against Sergey Kamenskiy and Yulia Karimova (Russian Olympic Committee, ROC), who ranked 4th in the second round of the finals.
