Jeongeup Hwangtohyeon Village and Jinan Duwon Village to Create Health Healing Villages Utilizing Indigenous Resources

Jeonbuk Province to Establish Healthy Healing Villages in Jeongeup and Jinan Agricultural and Fishing Areas

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Hwangtohyeon Village in Deokcheon-myeon, Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do, and Duwon Village in Baegun-myeon, Jinan-gun, will be developed into agricultural and fishing villages for health healing.

Jeollabuk-do announced on the 26th that it will actively promote the "Agricultural and Fishing Village Health Healing Environment Creation Project" in Jeongeup and Jinan areas in line with the era of ecological civilization transition where cooperation and sharing, nature and people coexist.

This project supports the transition from simple experience-oriented programs to stay-type health healing programs through collaboration with experiential leisure villages and existing farms, including necessary environmental creation and program development.

Jeongeup Hwangtohyeon Village will proceed with the project under the theme "Breathing rest and relaxation into the tired lives of urban citizens. Rural Healing Paradise Hwangtohyeon."

Also, Jinan Duwon Village will promote the project under the theme "Duwon Health Healing Village where you can heal your body and mind by eating (healing diet), seeing (healing resources), and enjoying (healing experiences)."

Jeollabuk-do plans to carry out project planning (establishing basic directions) this year and, through project evaluation next year, promote foundational projects such as healing and health environment creation and program development.

The province expects to enhance the social and economic value of agriculture and rural areas, generate off-farm income, provide mental stability and rest spaces, and create new jobs as a new business model in agriculture, thereby revitalizing rural areas through the creation of agricultural and fishing village health healing villages.
