Donghae-si to Raise Social Distancing to Level 3 Starting from the 27th
Ban on Private Gatherings of 5 or More Until the 8th of Next Month; Only 3/4 of Rooms Operated in Accommodation Facilities
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Donghae City, Gangwon Province announced on the 26th that "due to the 4th wave of COVID-19, social distancing will be raised to level 3 starting from the 27th in accordance with government policy."
Donghae City will implement level 3 social distancing until August 8, and the ban on private gatherings of five or more people will also be extended. Events and assemblies of 50 or more people are prohibited, and restaurants and cafes are only allowed to offer takeout and delivery after 10 PM. Accommodation facilities can operate only three-quarters of their rooms.
Using the existing joint on-site inspection team, they plan to intensively check compliance with quarantine rules at major facilities.
