Seodaemun-gu to Tow Illegally Parked Shared Electric Scooters Starting August
Roadways, subway station entrances and exits, braille blocks, etc. are immediate towing zones... Report violations on the 'Seoul City Electric Kickboard Parking Violation Reporting Site' for instant notification to the relevant company
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) will tow shared electric scooters illegally parked on the road that hinder the pedestrian environment starting August 1.
This follows the revision of the 'Seoul City Ordinance on Towing of Illegally Parked Vehicles.' The district has completed preparations such as securing storage locations, improving management programs, and establishing towing agency agreements.
The immediate towing target areas include roadways, subway station entrances and exits, within 10 meters of bus stops and taxi stands, tactile paving blocks, entrances to elevators for the mobility-impaired, and crosswalks.
For electric scooters parked on other general sidewalks, if the scooter company does not collect or relocate the scooter within 3 hours after a complaint is received, the scooter will be towed.
By reporting through the 'Seoul City Electric Scooter Parking Violation Reporting Site,' notifications are sent directly to the scooter company and towing agency for prompt handling and result confirmation.
