Gangwon-do, Emergency Quarantine Inspection of Tourism, Culture, and Sports Facilities... Until the 6th of Next Month
Focused Inspection Centered on Coastal Areas
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gangwon Province will conduct an emergency quarantine inspection in cooperation with cities and counties on tourism, cultural, and sports facilities during the vacation season until the 6th of next month.
According to Gangwon Province on the 26th, a dedicated inspection team will be formed focusing on areas with a high number of COVID-19 cases such as Chuncheon, Wonju, Gangneung, and Sokcho, to intensively check the preparation of visitor logs, mask-wearing, and compliance with accommodation capacity limits.
In particular, karaoke rooms and PC cafes in five East Coast cities and counties (Donghae, Sokcho, Samcheok, Goseong, Yangyang) will be inspected for compliance with occupancy limits based on area, restrictions on food consumption, and ventilation log management status.
Additionally, quarantine status will be checked at religious facilities with a high risk of group infections, and communication systems with religious communities will be strengthened to ensure prompt cooperation in emergency situations.
Given the recent surge in confirmed cases, with a high incidence among people in their 20s and 30s, special inspections will also be conducted on indoor sports facilities within the province frequently used by young people, such as dance halls, dance academies, and fitness centers.
