A man in his 50s arrested for killing an elderly person in Yeongdeungpo-gu park... "Risk of flight"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 50s who fled after fatally stabbing an elderly man with a weapon has been arrested.
On the 23rd, Lee Young-kwang, the chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Southern District Court, issued an arrest warrant for Kim, who is accused of murder, citing "risk of flight."
Kim is accused of stabbing and killing a man in his 70s, Mr. A, whom he knew, at a park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, around 10:50 p.m. on the 20th.
During police questioning, Kim admitted to the crime and reportedly stated that he committed the act after a dispute with Mr. A over money. Mr. A was found by a passerby after the incident and was transported to a hospital for treatment but did not regain consciousness and died. Kim fled after the crime.
