[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education published a braille magazine on the 23rd to make it easier for visually impaired individuals to access educational policies and receive useful information.
This is the first time the 'Ijoha Gyeongnam Education' magazine has been published as a braille book, consisting of braille books and audio books (CD and tape).
The braille book is composed by selecting content beneficial to visually impaired people from the monthly published 'Ijoha Gyeongnam Education' magazine. Additionally, it was produced with both braille and large print to make it easier for people with low vision to read, and it is also available as an audio book.
There are plans to publish twice this year, with 500 copies of the braille book and 250 copies each of the audio book CDs and tapes distributed per issue. The main distribution locations include special schools and libraries affiliated with the Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education, the Gyeongsangnam-do Association for the Welfare of the Visually Impaired, city and county associations for the visually impaired, and visually impaired individuals who wish to subscribe.
