Gwangju Nam-gu Renovates Main Building 1st Floor of Comprehensive Civil Service Office
Enhancing Resident Convenience... Full Operations Begin from the 26th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 23rd that the Comprehensive Civil Service Office will be relocated to the first floor of the main building starting from the 26th to begin full-scale public service.
Until now, the Comprehensive Civil Service Office was located on the second floor of the annex building, and reflecting the voices of residents who expressed inconvenience in using it, the district government promoted this relocation to meet the regulations of the National Happiness Civil Service Office, which is evaluated annually by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Based on the continuous complaints from residents about inconvenience, a survey on the relocation of the Comprehensive Civil Service Office was conducted from the 21st to the 23rd of last month targeting 869 residents in the district, and 838 respondents (96%) agreed with the relocation.
The district plans to use the existing space in the annex building as office space for departments that frequently conduct field dispatches or handle many civil service tasks.
Additionally, by utilizing the entire first floor of the main building, the district plans to renovate it into a space that includes the Comprehensive Civil Service Office, a consultation room for civil petitioners, and a book cafe as a resting area for residents, in accordance with the National Happiness Civil Service Office regulations recommended by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
