According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments, from midnight to 6 p.m. on the same day, a total of 1,342 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported nationwide. This is 55 more than the 1,287 cases reported at the same time the previous day.
The previous day's interim statistics did not include 270 confirmed cases among the Cheonghae Unit personnel. Including these cases, the total number (1,557) would represent a decrease of 215 cases. Since the 6th, when the number of confirmed cases first rose to the 1,000 range, the count has remained above 1,000 as of 6 p.m.
