View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 22nd that it will extend the operating hours of the temporary screening clinic within Expo Science Park until 9 PM.
With the extended hours, the clinic will operate from 9:30 AM to 9 PM on weekdays, and from 12 PM to 9 PM on weekends and public holidays.
However, the city recommends visiting the clinic at least 30 minutes before closing time, considering the waiting time for testing.
The extension of the clinic's operating hours was decided in light of recent signs of the fourth wave of COVID-19 and the lengthening waiting lines, as well as concerns about heat-related illnesses during the summer heat.
The city has installed shade tents on-site to help citizens avoid direct sunlight while waiting for their tests, and cooling fans have been set up in the specimen collection booths for the staff.
Additionally, citizens are asked to avoid visiting the clinic between 2 PM and 4 PM.
Meanwhile, the city currently operates screening clinics at three locations: Hanbat Stadium, Seogu Gwanjeo Health Center, and Expo Science Park.
