TIPA Launches Intensive 'Ethical Management' Implementation Program
Leading Identification and Implementation of 41 Integrity Self-Practice Tasks Including Sending Integrity Letters Within the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) announced that it will discover and promote high-intensity "Integrity Self-Practice Tasks" to spread a culture of integrity and establish ethical management.
By the first half of the year, 41 tasks across 4 areas were identified as integrity self-practice tasks, and all TIPA departments will participate, each taking charge of at least one practice task within the year.
Representative tasks include △ operating and promoting TIPA's anonymous reporting system to prevent corruption, △ disclosing recruitment status information to enhance transparency and reliability in the hiring process, △ preparing guidelines and preventing excessive travel expense claims through improvements in employee business trip-related systems, and △ enhancing fairness in selection evaluations.
Meanwhile, TIPA took the lead in practicing ethical management by becoming the first domestic R&D specialized institution to acquire ISO 37001 certification, the international standard for anti-corruption management systems, in 2017, and renewing the same certification last December.
