Alibaba Launches Record-Breaking Recruitment Drive for New College Graduates
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Alibaba Group, China's largest e-commerce company, is hiring the largest number of new college graduates in its history.
According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP) in Hong Kong on the 21st, Alibaba Group announced on the 19th that it will "hire the largest number of new college graduates in history" through 113 affiliated companies. The specific number of hires was not disclosed.
This new college graduate recruitment by Alibaba Group will be conducted not only by Alibaba Group itself but also by its financial subsidiary Ant Group, logistics affiliate Cainiao Network, Alibaba Health Information Technology, Alibaba Pictures Group, and other affiliated companies. Among the 113 hiring companies, 45 companies are hiring new college graduates for the first time.
The recruitment fields in technology include computer engineering, data science, blockchain, and security engineering. In non-technical fields, talents are being recruited in production management, visual arts, video editing, customer management, logistics management, and risk strategy.
Alibaba's announcement of a large-scale college graduate recruitment plan is interpreted as a strategic move to expand its business areas into various fields amid regulatory scrutiny. The group carried out an organizational restructuring earlier this month, focusing on establishing a new lifestyle services division.
