Man in 30s Sent to Prosecution for Sexually Assaulting Underage Part-Time Worker at Neighboring Store
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 30s who sexually assaulted a minor working at a store near his own business has been referred to the prosecution.
On the 21st, the Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced that on the 16th, they sent Mr. A, a man in his 30s, to the prosecution without detention on charges of violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse and statutory rape of a minor.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of sexually assaulting Ms. B, an 18-year-old woman working part-time at a store near his own business in Gwanak-gu in December 2015.
Police investigations revealed that Ms. B was continuously sexually assaulted until July 2017, when she quit her part-time job, and during this period, she also experienced pregnancy and abortion caused by Mr. A. Ms. B filed a complaint against Mr. A with the police in March of this year.
