Mediana Signs US Distributor Contract for Body Fat Analyzer ... "Expecting Increased Deliveries"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Mediana, a global specialist company in patient monitoring devices, defibrillators, and body composition analyzers, announced on the 21st that it has signed a dealership contract with the US fitness equipment manufacturer HCI and will supply the body composition analyzer i35. The initial shipment is scheduled for the end of July, and the product will be released with the HCI logo embedded.
Founded in 1992, HCI is a fitness equipment sales company operating mainly in the US, Canada, and Central America. Through approximately 10,000 dealerships, it supplies major fitness facilities, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and also participates in government tenders.
A company representative explained, "We plan to supply mainly to hospitals, fitness centers, and schools," adding, "As of 2020, the US body composition analyzer market size is about 160 billion KRW, and since the penetration rate is still low, we expect continuous growth to coincide with increased supply."
The i35 features obesity analysis, regional muscle and fat analysis, and cellular and fluid analysis functions. Its portability makes it easy to use not only for professionals but also for general users. Supporting both wired and wireless communication, data management is convenient, and up to 100,000 measurement results can be accumulated when an ID is entered. The accumulated data can be expanded into various services.
