Yongin City Expands COVID-19 Self-Quarantine Management Staff to 2,440 People
Yongin Mayor Baek Gun-gi Also Participates in Monitoring Self-Quarantine Cases Starting from the 20th
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Mayor Baek Gun-gi of Yongin will also participate in monitoring COVID-19 self-quarantined individuals. Earlier, Yongin City increased the number of personnel managing self-quarantined individuals to about 2,400.
On the 20th, Yongin City announced that 907 people, including Mayor Baek Gun-gi and senior officials, were deployed for COVID-19 self-quarantine monitoring tasks. Accordingly, the number of personnel managing self-quarantined individuals in Yongin City increased from the previous 1,533 to 2,440.
However, employees of health centers overseeing COVID-19 tasks and community service centers in towns and townships with heavy civil complaint workloads were excluded.
The monitoring officials deliver necessary items to self-quarantined individuals, such as quarantine notices, disinfectants, thermometers, dedicated waste bags, and guidance documents listing daily living rules.
Additionally, until the self-quarantine is lifted, they check more than three times daily via phone calls and the self-quarantine safety protection app for fever, respiratory symptoms, and whether the individual has left the quarantine location.
As of this day, the COVID-19 monitoring targets in Yongin City include 2,582 self-quarantined individuals and 575 active surveillance subjects, totaling 3,157 people.
Mayor Baek Gun-gi also called Mr. A, who entered self-quarantine on this day, to guide him on the living rules to follow during the quarantine period and to check if there were any inconveniences.
