Imsil-gun to Hold Nightly Regular Performances Utilizing Hanok Resources Until the End of September
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk (Governor Shim Min) announced on the 19th that it will hold the nighttime regular performance "Dancing Sangsoe? Eohwa World" utilizing Hanok resources at the Pilbong Nongak Transmission Education Center in Gangjin-myeon until the end of September.
This performance will be held every Saturday at 8 p.m., and during the summer vacation season this month and next month, nighttime regular performances will be held every Friday and Saturday.
The nighttime regular performance utilizing Hanok resources is promoted with the purpose of discovering and operating nighttime regular performance tourism content using Hanok scenery to revitalize cultural tourism.
It is a performance content developed by the Imsil Pilbong Nongak Preservation Society based on Imsil Pilbong Nongak, designated as National Intangible Cultural Property No. 11-5.
"Dancing Sangsoe? Eohwa World" is composed with motifs of the unique historical, cultural, and social characteristics of Pilbong Village, offering the audience the joy of traditional performance plays through scenes of conflict and harmony occurring within the village.
This year, due to the COVID-19 infectious disease crisis, the performance will be conducted in compliance with step-by-step social distancing quarantine guidelines, including temperature checks, visitor log creation, and audience restrictions.
The admission fee for the performance is 10,000 KRW, and visitors holding the Jeonbuk Tour Pass Card can receive a separate discount benefit.
Yang Jinseong, the president of the preservation society, said, "I hope this performance will provide a small comfort and strength to the audience who are tired and struggling due to COVID-19," and added, "I hope we wisely overcome the COVID period by demonstrating patience and wisdom based on community spirit."
