Due to the heavy rain, more than 30% of the livestock barns in Gwansan-eup, Daedeok-eup, and Hoejin-myeon were flooded, raising concerns about the outbreak of livestock diseases and epidemics. To promptly replace the bedding in the flooded barns, Jangheung-gun decided to invest a budget of 150 million KRW from the disaster and emergency contingency funds.
This project is being promoted as a collaborative effort with the county and Jangheung Livestock Cooperative sharing the budget. It plans to support approximately 100 heads of cattle with 100 kg of bedding per head for 340 Hanwoo cattle farms that reported barn flooding.
