The Ministry of Health and Welfare awarded commendations to medical personnel, including doctors and nurses, who devoted themselves to infectious disease response in various fields such as treating confirmed COVID-19 patients and those in quarantine.
Director Kim isolated and treated a total of 37 confirmed COVID-19 patients, including 15 severe cases, at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, which was designated as a treatment bed for severe COVID-19 patients, until last month.
