Japan Fukushima Nuclear Plant Contaminated Water Task Force (TF) Interagency Meeting
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Son Seon-hee] The government reviewed the current situation of Japan and South Korea's response regarding the issue of contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant on the 16th.
On the afternoon of the same day, Koo Yoon-chul, Director of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, held a meeting of the task force (TF) on Fukushima nuclear power plant contaminated water with related ministries at the Government Complex Seoul, according to the Office for Government Policy Coordination.
The meeting was held to understand the status of Japan's implementation plan since the announcement of Japan's policy to discharge contaminated water into the ocean on April 13, and to review the strengthening of domestic radiation monitoring systems for marine products, seafood, and food, in order to seek a pan-government response plan.
