Police Conduct Search of Former Editorial Writer Donghoon Lee's Home Over Alleged Golf Club Bribery Case
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The police have launched a forced investigation into former Chosun Ilbo editorial writer Lee Dong-hoon, who is suspected of receiving golf clubs from Kim (43), who impersonated a fisheries businessman.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Violent Crime Investigation Unit sent investigators to Lee's residence this morning to secure related evidence on charges of violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act. The police stated that they cannot disclose specific details about the items seized during the ongoing investigation.
Kim, who impersonated a fisheries businessman, reportedly testified during a previous police investigation that he provided Lee with a golf club set worth several million won.
