Jangheung County Office Athletics Team Achieves 2nd Place in National Competition 'Great Success'

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 16th that athlete Kim Nak-hyun from the track and field team took 2nd place in the 10km racewalking event at the ‘2021 Goseong Unification National Corporate Track and Field Competition’ held in Gangwon-do from the 7th to the 9th, achieving the best result since the team’s establishment.
Jangheung-gun’s first workplace sports team, the track and field team, was newly established on December 21 last year with five members including discus throwers, racewalkers, and long-distance runners, led by coach Moon Jun-heum since May last year, aiming to enhance Jangheung-gun’s image as a sports mecca and to foster elite sports.
Although the team has been active for a short period, it has achieved good results such as Lee Hoon (men’s discus throw) 3rd place and Kim Nak-hyun (men’s 20km racewalking) 3rd place at the ‘2020 Yecheon National University and General Track and Field Competition,’ and Kwon Soo-ah (women’s discus throw) 3rd place and Kim Nak-hyun (men’s 10km racewalking) 3rd place at the ‘2021 50th National Age Group Track and Field Championships.’
