Geoje City Provides Additional Grants to Local Cultural Artists
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Geoje City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 14th that it will carry out the 'Cultural Artists Activity Support Fund Expansion Project' for local cultural artists.
This project targets artists who were not supported in the first project implemented in February and accepts applications from the 14th to the 30th.
Eligibility requires that the applicant's registered address be in Geoje as of July 13, the artistic activity certification is valid, and the applicant is not subject to exclusion criteria.
The exclusion criteria can be checked on the Geoje City Hall website's news notification board.
Each person will receive 500,000 KRW, and artists who have not yet completed the issuance of the artistic activity certificate can also apply, but the support fund will be paid after the certificate is issued.

Mayor Byeon Gwang-yong said, "I understand that many artists did not receive the cultural artists activity support fund paid earlier this year," adding, "This time, we are expanding the eligibility requirements to provide support, hoping it will be a small help to more local cultural artists."
