[Asia Economy Reporter La Youngcheol] The integrated brand of Korean beef in Gangwon Province, "Gangwon Hanwoo," launched jointly by Gangwon Province, 12 cities and counties within the province, and 6 livestock cooperatives, has achieved annual sales of 100 billion KRW within five years of its launch (from July 2020 to June 2021).
According to Gangwon Province on the 14th, since its launch on July 1, 2016, it entered 16 Lotte Mart stores in the Seoul metropolitan area in 2017 and this year was listed on GS Fresh Mall (online mall).
Furthermore, in addition to 23 local sales outlets, one direct transaction sales outlet and two franchise stores were newly opened, completing the establishment of sales networks including local sales outlets and online malls, thereby laying the foundation for growth.
Also, by winning awards for four consecutive years at the "National Livestock Product Brand Competition," including the Presidential Award in 2019, it has proven the excellence of clean and high-quality Gangwon Hanwoo nationwide.
