"6-inch is the Trend" 97.5% of OLED Phones in the First Half of the Year Are 6 Inches
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] It has been revealed that the vast majority of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display smartphones released in the first half of this year use 6-inch class displays.
On the 13th, market research firm UBI Research announced that 97.5% of OLED display smartphones released in the first half of the year used 6-inch class displays.
A total of 122 OLED smartphones were released in the first half of the year, of which 119 were 6-inch class, accounting for the overwhelming majority. There were 2 models in the 8-inch class and 1 model in the 5-inch class. No 7-inch class models were released.
By display design, models with punch-hole designs were the most released with 103 types, followed by notch design models (13 types) and narrow bezel design models (6 types). As in the previous year, no products with home buttons were released.

Regarding resolution, models with 400~500 ppi (pixels per inch) accounted for 64 units, representing a 52.5% share; models below 400 ppi were 48 units, and those above 500 ppi were 10 units. Finally, by country, China had the most with 104 units, followed by Korea with 12, Taiwan with 4, and Japan and Germany with 1 each.
