[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] With the increase in staying at home due to sudden showers and the resurgence of COVID-19, sales of home entertainment products such as TVs, monitors, and beam projectors have also increased.
According to TMON on the 13th, an analysis of home appliance sales over the past two months showed that overall TV sales increased by 12% compared to the same period in 2019 before COVID-19, but large TVs over 65 inches rose by 47%. Sales of beam projectors and monitors also increased by 20% and 66%, respectively, during the same period.
Due to unpredictable weather with sudden showers occurring 14 times over the past month, roughly every other day, more people stayed at home, and with the steady increase in remote work caused by COVID-19, demand from customers wanting to fully enjoy home entertainment surged.
