[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Lee Seong, the mayor of Guro District, was elected as the president of the Seoul Metropolitan Council of District Mayors for the 4th year of the 7th term of the elected government.
On the 9th, the 161st Seoul Metropolitan Council of District Mayors was held via video conference.
The Seoul Metropolitan Council of District Mayors is an administrative consultative body operated to discuss common issues among autonomous districts, promote regional development, and propose decisions made in meetings to the central government and Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Mayor Lee Seong appointed Park Seong-su, the mayor of Songpa District, as the secretary-general of the council and will lead the meetings representing the council until June 30 of next year. He also serves as a co-chairman of the National Association of Mayors, Governors, and District Mayors.
