Gwangju Police Agency Conducts Joint Anti-Terrorism Drill for Rapid Long-Distance Deployment
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 12th that it conducted a joint counterterrorism drill for rapid long-distance dispatch to secure the golden time.
This drill was conducted in coordination between the Gwangju Police Special Forces and the Jeonnam Police Agency Police Aviation Unit.
The focus was on establishing a dispatch system using police helicopters for coastal and mountainous terrain dispatch and other cases where vehicle movement is difficult, in response to terrorism occurrences and missing person searches in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas.
To search for lives and detect explosives within the golden time, the police special forces' detection dogs also underwent helicopter boarding and adaptation training.
