Andong-si Upgrades 'Stamp Tour'... Expanded Tourist Attractions and Enriched Content
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Andong City, Gyeongbuk announced on the 11th that it has revamped the mobile 'Tourism Stamp Tour' that adds to the joy of traveling.
After installing the app on a mobile phone and visiting designated tourist sites to collect stamps, the Andong Tourism Stamp Tour has expanded the number of tourist sites where stamps can be collected from 10 to 20, and improved the system so that stamps are automatically acquired when approaching within 50 meters of the tourist site.
Also, whereas previously visitors had to collect stamps from at least 7 tourist sites to receive a prize, now for every 5 stamps collected, they can receive one of four types of Katuri keyrings, and if they visit all 20 sites, they can take home all four Katuri siblings.
When running the app, it also serves as a tourism information center in your hand, providing various tourism information about Andong in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese.
Started in 2015, the 'Andong Tourism Stamp Tour' has accumulated over 20,000 downloads. Despite difficulties in the local tourism industry due to COVID-19, the app downloads steadily surpassed 3,000 in 2020, maintaining its popularity.
The offline stamp tour 'Walking Andong Tourism Stamp Tour' for revitalizing the original downtown commercial district and for travelers using public transportation on foot allows participants to receive a mission sheet at the tourist information center located in the original downtown area, and if they collect stamps at 5 out of 7 designated tourist sites, they can receive an eco bag featuring Andong images.
