On the 11th (Korean time), at the third day of the PGA Tour John Deere Classic (total prize money $6.2 million) held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, USA (par 71, 7,268 yards), he scored 2 under par and stood tied for 29th place (9 under par 204 strokes). Sebastian Munoz (Colombia) leads with 16 under par 197 strokes, Brandon Hagy is second with 15 under par 198 strokes, and five players including Scott Brown (USA) are tied for third place at 14 under par 199 strokes, just 2 strokes behind.
Starting from a tie for 24th place, 6 strokes behind, Im Sung-jae recorded 5 birdies, 1 bogey, and 1 double bogey.
