Suncheon Fire Station Provides Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training to Save Lives During the Golden Time
Education Conducted for 150 Students at Wangun Elementary School
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Jeonnam Suncheon Fire Station (Chief Ha Soo-cheol) conducted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training to save lives for 150 students of Suncheon Wangun Elementary School on the 9th.
This training was conducted while complying with social distancing quarantine guidelines, organizing the training participants into small groups, and covered topics such as the importance of the golden time for cardiac arrest patients and rapid initial emergency treatment methods before the arrival of paramedics.
All students practiced CPR directly on mannequins.
The students who participated in the training said, "It was harder than I thought to perform chest compressions on the mannequin, but I felt proud to learn a method to save precious lives."

Lee Do-wa, the education officer at Suncheon Fire Station, stated, "CPR is more important to experience directly than just theoretical education," and added, "It is unfortunate that many students could not have hands-on experience due to COVID-19, but we will organize small groups for training so that all Suncheon citizens can have the opportunity to experience it firsthand."
