Completion Ceremony for Suncheon-style Specialized Menu Development and Commercialization Training
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 9th that it held a completion ceremony for the 'Suncheon-style Specialized Menu Tteokgalbi & Grilled Chicken Development Commercialization' training at the Agricultural Products Comprehensive Processing Support Center.
This training was promoted to strengthen the competitiveness of local dining businesses and to commercialize specialized menus unique to the 'Ecological Gourmet City Suncheon' in preparation for the era of food tourism where both face-to-face and non-face-to-face coexist.
Targeting 28 representatives of local dining businesses, a total of 9 sessions were conducted since April to develop and transfer 9 types of tteokgalbi and grilled chicken menus using various local ingredients. Alongside, mindset education on survival strategies for dining culture and service fields was provided, receiving great responses from participants.
The city plans to register the Suncheon-style specialized menu as a trademark under Suncheon City's unique product name, visit the dining businesses that participated in the training for consulting, and then post the Suncheon-style Tteokgalbi designated business signboards.

Mayor Heo Seok of Suncheon said, “K-pop and K-drama are dominating the world, and now K-garden and K-food will be in the spotlight.” He added, “We will promote the K-food festival with Suncheon’s cuisine and make Suncheon the mecca of K-food.”
